The presence of commercially available virtual healthcare services is increasing. Very soon, virtual doctors powered by artificial intelligence may be available for patients to use to connect with their primary healthcare physicians. But, what do older adults think about this service, and how does this service affect society as a whole? This project explores these issues and also compares them to existing sources of healthcare information and services, like traditional telemedicine. It aims to generate design recommendations, guidelines, and tools to ensure virtual doctors and other AI systems on the market are built to be suitable for older adults’ use.
