MyCare, an information sharing tool between seniors and caregivers
Family Caregivers and seniors are in constant collaboration and communication together in every aspect of their lives. Seniors want to feel involved and to share their daily activities.On the other hand, caregivers are willing to monitor and ensure the smooth running of the senior’s life. Caregivers complain about the excessive burden on their personal lives with their extensive consuming care-giving roles. However, seniors feel that they have the right to disclose what they feel can be shared and secure what seems to be private. MyCare is an android application platform that will provide an information sharing tool between seniors and caregivers. Through crowd sourcing and delegation of tasks between caregivers, the application aims to provide a user friendly interface that ensures the balance of independence that seniors need and minimize the burden on the caregiver’s life.
