Commercial Video Games and Intergenerational Social Connectivity

The majority of video games designed for seniors are in the serious game category, i.e. the focus on health issues such as Alzheimer’s or improving cognitive awareness. Our goal is to look at published video games that facilitate intergenerational play, i.e. play between seniors and younger children. I hope to develop a schema in the form of a rating scale/checklist that determine if games are suitable for intergenerational play. The project is in its initial phase with pilot testing beginning soon. There are no publications for this project.
