Mike Massimi is a former Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. He studied human-computer interaction and was supervised by Dr. Ronald Baecker. He was a member of the Dynamic Graphics Project and the Technologies for Aging Gracefully lab. He is also an alumnus of the Health Care, Technology, and Place doctoral training program. His research focuses on the intersection of computing and the end of the human lifespan. His thesis examines the thanatosensitive design of systems to support bereaved parents in achieving their communication and social support needs.
