Deb was a volunteer when she joined TAGlab after having spent several years working in industry (software design), and several more raising a young family.
Most recently she has worked on the MSR SenseCam project. This project evaluates the impact that lifelogging photos can have (when used in a narrative vs. unfiltered, as a re-experiencing of events) on episodic memory and quality of life, for people with Alzheimers or MCI, and their loved ones.
Her interests include interaction design (HCI), human behaviour (especially perception, cognition, and development across the lifespan), and assistive technologies. She holds an Hon. B.Sc. in Psychology and a Masters of Human Factors Psychology.
